@anajorgesa said in I NEED HELP:
sh: 1: ./node_modules/.bin/electron: not found
cd ~/MagicMirror
npm install electron@17.2.0
@Zar pm2’s job is to restart , you can always minimize MM (alt-spacebar, n) and then use pm2 to stop,
(alt-ctrl-t to open a terminal window)
or use an ssh ssession to the pi and pm2 stop…
or not accept pm2 during install … all kinds of ways to handle it…
alt-spacebar, n to minimize is the same as for Windows on any app.
@louise look up the tree to the module content element
module_12_MMM… here is the identifier for this module
and oh, because its id=
you need # instead of . in the custom.css
(selector cheat sheet)… the thing before the { in a css class is the ‘selector’
@paulvanderheijden90 node helper needs to look like this
see the doc here https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror/tree/master/modules#the-node-helper-node_helperjs
const NodeHelper = require('node_helper');
// any other imports (javascript require)
module.exports = NodeHelper.create({
// local variables
self: 0,
pins_loaded:[],
pin_index:0,
results:{},
using_chartjs: true,
suspended: false,
timer:null,
start: function() {
console.log("Starting module: " + this.name);
self = this;
},
socketNotificationReceived: function(notification, payload) {
// usually the module send the config data down to the node_helper
if (notification === 'CONFIG') {
this.config = payload;
}
// any other functions, u need, note, after each function is a ',' (comma)
}
});
@N6NG PI desktop,
menu top left,
preferences,
raspberry pi preferences,
display
enable screen blanking
@freland client mode is just the browser w no modules. so same problem
you need some code to read/react to a sensor somewhere, and then inform some code on the client machine to turn off the display.
a node-red server in the background could still do all that.
it’s just more than a dumb client
how about no quotes
showRainAmount: false,
values that are all numbers, or true and false do not need quotes
everything else does need quotes
@sardauker that email seems odd.
did u go to mail.google.com yourself or link in the email?
do u have a backup with the prior link. does it still work?
@kayakbabe but. even EASIER
for the modules u want one page 1
set ALL of their classes property to ‘page1’
then your pages config says
modules:[
[ "page1" ],
[ "page2" ]
]
all modules w page1 class property show together on the 1st page
don’t have to list them individually.
and if u change your mind, then u change the module classes, NOT the pages config
