@oberfragger a whole day event is just an event without a time.
add Thhmmss
and it’s no longer a full day event

@sdetweil but
you could write a little tool that downloads the ics file locally (it’s just text), then use some tool (sed, aka stream editor), to edit the file,
and config mm to use the file
pretty easy in bash
loop forever
sleep 10 minutes
curl to download file
sed -i file … (-i is in place)
loop again
use pm2 to start the bash script
pm2 save
then will start on boot too
@oberfragger u can set the tz for an event and then it will show relative to your tz.
or set offset of that timezone
don’t know what your calendar service will allow
in my Android app for calendar I can select tz for one event
there is no way to do it in the mm calendar module
@wimthoelke see
ask the right person, and voila!
@selyjohns a new mm release is done every calendar quarter ( every 3 months).(Jan, Apr, July, Oct)
the next is Jan 1
no you do not need to use git to save your files. just copy them someplace outside the mm folder as a backup
the ones list are in the untracted section, meaning git sees them but is not managing them
for update, you can use my update script
see
https://github.com/sdetweil/MagicMirror_scripts
@wimthoelke open an issue on the module GitHub page to engage the module author
@peter make a backup of the MM folder before starting
the script will work, or I will fix it…
@peter lots of changes since then
I would use my upgrade script
see
https://github.com/sdetweil/MagicMirror_scripts
two pass
1st time is test and tell you about any potential issues i u need to fix (fix and run again til u are comfortable)
then u can do with apply to actually upgrade?
u can also do my backup script
see https://github.com/sdetweil/MagicMirror-backup-restore
(have to clone this one)
saves config.js and github links to all the installed modules…
@sdetweil also, my MM uses 8090 not to collide with another app.
