Hi, obviosly your solution helped everybody besides me. I did the following in the custom.css.sample::root {
–color-text: #999;
–color-text-dimmed: #666;
–color-text-bright: #fff;
–color-background: black;

–font-primary: “Roboto Condensed”;
–font-secondary: “Roboto”;

–font-size: 20px;
–font-size-small: 0.75rem;

–gap-body-top: 60px;
–gap-body-right: 60px;
–gap-body-bottom: 60px;
–gap-body-left: 60px;

–gap-modules: 30px;
}
.compliments .xlarge {
font-size: 15px;
}

There is no modifikation on the font size.

@TomOMaley you can use the compliments config parameter
‘classes’
to force not using mm provided classes. then you can do whatever in custom.css

{
      module:'compliments',
       ...
       config:{
              classes:'foo',
              ..
              ..
        }
}

custom.css

.compliments .foo {
      font-size:25px; // or whatever
}

@sdetweil Thank you for your quick reply. Just to avoid misunderstandings. In /home/usr/MagicMirror/css I do not have a “custom.css” file but there are a “main.css” and a “custom.css.sample”. Which one has to be modified?

@TomOMaley if you do not have a custom.css file, then create one

you can copy the sample or create an empty file and add your settings there

to create an empty file do

touch ~/MagicMirror/css/custom.css

we don’t create one as its optional.
we don’t ship one cause it would cause us to overwrite one if u had one

my install script creates an empty one for you, as, like you, many don’t know what to do
