Hi all
I’ve created a photoprism image viewer to replace google images.
This is my fist thing I’ve made. Honestly it’s 90% generated with LLM.

Description:

The module will every 5 minutes (configurable) download a random image from an album to the cache folder and then show this image.

I don’t add pictures because I don’t feel like putting my children online.

#future features

• Configuring what info you see as overlay (location, picturename, …).
• the height/width are now set with max-width. I’d like to make that configurable.
• More styling options.
  Feel free to pull anything you like. Admitedly I don’t check github weekly (maybe monthly).

great, that was something i wanted to start my self for a long time - thank you.

I forked your module and added a few extras (mostly with AI, like you did :-D ):

• use of thumbnail api (for reduced file size)
• suspend if not visible (i use MMM-Carousel, and the pictures are not on the frontpage)
• preload and caching (but I’m not sure if it is working as intended…)

I use a module for displaying personal photos as well. Could you explain the pros and cons of this module in comparison to mmm-imagesphotos? I can’t seem to understand the difference.

i try to answer this: mmm-imagesphotos can not access the pictures on a photoprism server (demo here: https://demo-de.photoprism.app/library/browse)
