More weeks using MMM-MonthlyCalendar?
-
@LaeHarr going a solid number of weeks outside a month is kinda rough. What I would do is use something like MMM-Multimonth and enable 2 months.
-
@LaeHarr it’s not directly what you asked for. Calendars suck up a lot of space .
Many users use mmm-pages, carousel or other modules to give multiple pages
I use ext3 in month mode and show 3 months in rotation
I don’t know if that module can display sep months as two instances so you could put them on sep pages

@BKeyport Thank you. I’ve already tried adding a second month with this module, but it took too much space (which ended up cutting off my view of the first week). I may mess with turning it vertically and seeing if I like that better with two months, or keeping the four weeks as-is (it just feels like a waste of space!).

@sdetweil Thank you! I didn’t consider using multiple pages. This is something I am going to look into and see if it will work for my purposes. A bummer that I can’t easily turn this into a 6-week calendar, but I do appreciate knowing that it’s not possible so that I don’t waste my time.
Unrrelated, but because I don’t want to take up space making an entire new post, what am I missing to change the background color for different calendars? I’ve tried “color:” in js, but it only changes the text color. I tried using name and then calling it in the css, but must be missing a step since that isn’t working either. I’m feeling like I’m missing something terribly simple over here.

@LaeHarr
Background color is tough, because the intent is to seamlessly allow the background to show thru for a consistent look and also allow for background images/colorIf the modules were all opaque, you would have blobs of color all over the screen
But for css it’s the background-color style to use in custom.css

@LaeHarr as a separate topic on CSS. many times the exact mechanism isn’t documented or clear
as MM is built on a web browser, all the browser CSS approaches work, if you can figure them out!..
to that end, the browser provides a development environment where you can review and test setting styles on the content
see the second link in my signature below for a starter use on that.

@sdetweil Is there anyway to look at it as a browser window if I’m doing all of this headless? If not, I can certainly see about hooking up a keyboard and mouse to play with it for now. Finding the exact mechanism is definitely the problem I’m having. I’ve tried naming the different calendars using name, title, nameClass, and titleClass in the js so that I can call it in the css to change background-color, but none have worked.
I’ll see if I can find the mental bandwidth to get it hooked up later so that I can use the developer’s window. It does seem like it would be marginally easier to do it that way to find what exactly the term is I’m looking for.

@LaeHarr sure
in the MM config set
address:"0.0.0.0", ipWhitelist:[],now restart your MM
now you can access the MM system from any browser you like from
anywhere on your networkin that browser open the developer tools window
on chrome and edge that is ctrl-shift-i on the page to work on
on safari you need to use the browser menu, settings, advanced, enable developer tools, new browser menu, develop, show web inspector (it will toggle to close ) -
Thank you for the quick reply! I realized I could do it using TigerVNC as well. A lot of new things for me to explore, and I’m excited to hopefully get things where I want them now! Thanks!

@LaeHarr yes, if you are vnc connected, you have the browser menu and developers support
