Fresh Install. Overlapping calendar / weather modules
-
Hello,
I just moved from Magic Mirror to Magic Mirror 2 and I am having an issue configuring it correctly. I did a fresh install of the OS before moving to 2. My calendar and weather modules are overlapping and I’m not certain how to fix this. I have very little knowledge with CSS, so a step-by-step solution would be very much appreciated. Please find attached a picture to clarify my issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! Please let me know if you have any questions I could answer that might help clarify the issue.

I’ve seen this while testing for myself for a build…
I wonder if its the screen resolution?
Are the modules way bigger than they used to be?

You have very long calendar entries and the CSS block stretches to accommodate that. The default length is 25 characters. You can shorten that with the calendar’s
'maxTitleLength'
config option. -
@Phate Hi Phate - all of my hardware is exactly the same as it was for the original Magic Mirror - it just seems that the modules are larger this time around.

@KirAsh4 Hi KirAsh - I’m using the same calendar / entries as I was using for the original Magic Mirror. The only time it overlapped even a little bit is when it was a long entry and the countdown was “Tomorrow at…”
Right now I’ve temporarily fixed the issue by shortening the maxTitleLength to 10 characters, but that just doesn’t feel like enough. Are you aware of any way to make the font smaller for this module? I’ve figured out how to remove the calendar icon next to each entry to save a bit of space.
Ideally I would like to be able to display the entire entry without any overlap.
Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions. Thank you!

@jeremy
I got stuck on something like that too…
a) read the thread https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/254/sachin-s-mirror/25b) try a module @KirAsh4 wrote for me (and that I changed in a miniscule way)
