@Sean i’ve found this page only today, but mirror there is expensive …

        60x50cm (52€ + 10€ (payment) + 15€ (delivery)) = 77€

        i’ve buy glass 60x50cm 5€ + mirror film for 19€ = 24€ (i’ve saved 53€) and i still have film that left :)

maybe later i’ll order glass :)

@Maros how did you find that film? The ratings are pretty awful and I can’t see any information on transparency %.

@Sean thanks but sadly only one on there for united kingdom and the website looks a bit dodgy! Ideally I just need to know what % I can realistically go to, if 20% is still fine I have loads of choice. If it needs to be less then I’m severely limited :(

            @burg9 @Maros
It depends on which environment do you want to use in.
But many ppl said any kind of film is not so good after all. But some ppl are satisfied.
For my private experience, I’ve tried 3 kinds of glass. All of them are not fit for my expectation. The final solution for me is, Mirrorless Mirror.

Anyway, you should confirm not only mirror but also LCD is related to the quality of the result.

i don’t know there is no information about transparency :(

              but i think it’s ok.
On youtube i see also video with comparsion glass vs film and everything have cons and pros.

I’ve seen film ones in videos that I’d be happy with for my uses as it’s not going to be a primary mirror - I’d have gone straight to glass with a new monitor if that was the case.

Just looking for a decent UK film similar to the Gila brand which appears to be used on all the US film builds.

actually looks like on ebay I can get 15% - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15-UV-Reflective-Transmittance-Insulation-Sticker-Window-Film-One-Way-Mirror/223031928614?hash=item33edbd2726:g:x4EAAOSwesVbMMeF

Although due to the lack of reviews I’m probably going to just risk it and try the 20% ones on Amazon.

Hi I am new to all of this also UK based. I design and manufacture architectural furniture and often use glass from Pilkington.
I believe they have a product which might interest you for the mirror.

                      https://www.pilkington.com/en-gb/uk/products/product-categories/special-applications/pilkington-mirroview

I haven’t tried it myself as yet, but they offer two types one for low light conditions, and one for bright ambient lighting.
It has been specifically designed for mirror tv’s etc and supposedly allows touchscreen support.

                      Hope this helps!
