Just finished up my MagicMirror build. Very happy with the results and I think it looks pretty nice. I’ve gotten some great compliments on it so far, and several people asking me to make them one haha. I bought a frame online to make things a bit easier, but it was pretty poor build quality and insanely rough. I caught several splinters on it as I took it out of the shipping box. So I hand to sand it down, then put some grey wood finish on it, (specifically Minwax Classic Gray 271 Penetrating Stain), and then I sanded down random areas of the frame to give it that weathered and worn look I was going for. The screen definitely stands out while it’s on, so I’m going to have to mess with the display settings a bit.

Next I plan on integrating Alexa into it, and probably adding a spotify module, but that’s about it.
