@MajorTingz Thanks for replying, I really appreciate your feedback.

I’m not sure what version of the glass I got, but there is a pic of it. https://twitter.com/cjdell/status/798292806502584320?s=09

I’m not happy with it at all, it just looks like a dull window and not a mirror.

I’ve been given some film, which I might try out but I really wanted to go with our glass.

      What are your thoughts?

No problem, I went through different types of acrylic and glass samples before I settled on the mirroview. Here is a photo I took today of the standard Mirroview pane, I’ll try and do a comparison shot of the 50/50 as well.

I’m not going to lie, the text can be a bit difficult to make out when there is lots of ambient light but this mirror is being used in a bedroom with 1 window so it’s not really an issue, if you were setting one up in a space with a few windows then I would definitely go for the 50/50.

@MajorTingz and if you mirror has light on the back of it. So it lights up the wall around it. What would you recommend?

If I’m understanding correctly, you intend on hanging a mirror next to or between a couple of windows? if there is no light facing the mirror and therefore reflecting I would go for the standard mirroview. Mirroview 50/50 is good when there is a lot of ambient light reflecting in the mirror i.e. if you have windows on the left or right walls in relation to the mirror. Does that make sense?

The light is comming from a LED strip. The LED strip goes on the backside of the mirror frame, all way around. I can try to draw it, for better understanding if you want? :-)

In that case, the LED shouldn’t interfere at all, the mirror will only be affected by the light reflecting off it not behind it.
