i created this script to help users with older pi0 / armv6l devices get up and running, because there is no electron version anymore, without having to figure all this out…
the project decided to support only pi3 and pi4.

@sdetweil I’m actually running this on Pi 4, so looks like your script is still necessary for anyone looking to play video.

@jimbydude i understand… however all the scripts were removed from the files distributed as part of the MM project… so i have to help users one at a time.
if you use the installation script from here, https://github.com/sdetweil/MagicMirror_scripts ,and u have one of the older devices I do this setup for you. -
