      Hi,

after running @sdetweil’s upgrade script to upgrade from 2.13 to 2.17, my MM is not starting anymore. I cannot run it again (says that I am up to date) and I don’t know what to do or which info I should provide here to fix this issue. Is there a repair installation?

@sdetweil Thank you. Took me a while to find the time but now I apllied your fix (mentioned above, saw your updated script afterwars only) and had to reinstall “request”-library to some addons.

        Now working.

@requiemmg not starting, or showing black screen?

@sdetweil Not starting. I guess there was some error during the upgrade instalaltion, but it scrolled so fast that I could not read it.

              @requiemmg installers/upgrade.log has the processing

and if u use pm2, then pm2 stop all

              cd MagicMirror
              npm start >somefile.txt
              wait

              ctrl-c to stop MM

              then somefile.txt has the messages

@requiemmg it could also be the mode/npm versions, which upgrade currently doesn’t fix.

                short workaround

                rename mm folder to MagicMirror.save

                mv MagicMirror MagicMirror.save

run the installer script which DOES check and upgrade node/npm
                erase the new MagicMirror folder

                rm -rf MagicMirror

                rename the old one back

                mv MagicMirror.save MagicMirror

the run upgrade again with force at the end instead of apply

                I will fix upgrade.

@requiemmg I just posted changes to the upgrade script to check and do the node/npm upgrade and to check and fix any modules needed the missing libraries…
both only ACTUALLY done for apply/force, but describe what would be done otherwise

u can use it now by using force to reupgrade already upgraded…
