Dumbest question of the week Calendar Module
-
@n6ng where u start mm the messages are output. if u save them, they are the log. if not they are lost
if you use pm2 to launch mm
then the command
pm2 logs --lines=???
where ??? is some number, default 15
will show you ??? lines of the error messages and ??? lines of the non error messages1st debug step for calendar , take the url u put in config for the ics file , and use it in a browser on the mm system.
it should download the calendar ics file.
which is just text. -
@sdetweil Thanks Sam… I’ll give it a try.

@n6ng alternatively, if you can open two ssh sessions, you can use one of them with just
pm2 logs
- and watch it live as you restart MagicMirror in the other one. -
@bkeyport That’s my next project, to get the SSH working so I can program the mm from my PC…
Thanks…
There was an error in the calendar address and once I fixed that it works great… now on to the SSH programing…
Thanks again Sam

@n6ng use one of the integrated ssh clients. bitvise or winscp
you get an ssh window AND a file browser over the pi file system. just double click to edit w your favorite editor.
notepad++, vscode, whatever…

@n6ng
sudo raspi-config
will give ya the options to enable SSH - on the PC, use termius or putty.As for further PC control, you could look into samba - follow the instructions here for samba, they’re brilliant, even though it claims it’s for MacOS, it works for Windows too.
