updated installer script available for testing
-
@bdream i don’t think it will run in the CYGWIN or MINW environments
you will have to do the manual install
see the instructions here https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror#manual-installation
this also requires sudo, to install nodejs
if you succeed, let me know what you did (step by step) and I will consider updating the installer -
@sdetweil looks like a new workingplace :dizzy_face:
I will hang it on for the next time and mark your comment for further usage.
1st try to follow the manual installation instruction failed and need more investigatin and understanding on my sidebdream@win7 MINGW64 ~ (master) $ curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_10.x | sudo -E bash - bash: sudo: command not found
-
@bdream CYGWIN and MINW don’t allow sudo operations, as they don’t control the machine directly
-
@sdetweil yeah, that is I don’t know what and how to do. And it sounds like a big lack of knowledge on my side…
-
@bdream try, this, may not work
curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_10.x | bash -
-
@sdetweil it don’t work
$ curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_10.x | bash - ## Installing the NodeSource Node.js 10.x repo... ## Populating apt-get cache... + apt-get update bash: apt-get: command not found Error executing command, exiting
