Audio not working through Magic Mirror

@edenx858
Did you installRaspotify
? Spotify modules for MM have no player feature itself. All of them are just showing current playback. You need Raspotify to play Spotify on Raspberry itself. -
well i haven’t installed raspotify before you suggested it. i tried that but the issue remains the same…
i press play the spotify shows that it’s in sync but i still cant hear any audio. tnx for the help tho -
@edenx858 To say again, Spotify modules (MMM-Spotiry, MMM-SpotifyPlaying… ) are not player itself. It just shows current playback(if it exists) on MagicMirror.
To play Spotify on Raspberry Pi, RASPOTIFY is needed. And it will work independent with MagicMirror.
So, it means, at first, you should confirm your RASPOTIFY working. It should be executed on your Raspberry Pi booting-up and can be controllable with your Spotify account. You may control it on your smartphone Spotify app. -
@Sean said in Audio not working through Magic Mirror:
RASPOTIFY
okay thanks again, i did all of that already. I think i just realised my problem… i think it might be because i dont have a premium spotify account so i cant use that feature yet.
-
@edenx858 That is correct. You need a premium account for it.
