                              @sdetweil this is all veryfor you to say my understanding is lower than a noobie, my interest was to make a mm for my grand daughter.difficult because because i do not own a comp,just an ipad.i do not understand any of it even when reading about and the comp language and terminology just flys over my head.read what you suggested by myke, it was out of my range,all this go there open this close that do the other for me is difficult.that is why i have to rely on forum members for one off direction.
                              another thing i find difficult is the dis information on the forum which makes things more difficult.i have however learned somethings,the best was copy/paste saves the manual effort.i also have taken notes which are useful to a point,but not when the mm installation guide has been changed.
                              so i will persevere,even tho my pi has expired and buy a new one and start again.forgot to mention enjoyed making the mm frame and mounting the screem.
                              thankyou all.

                                @geo well, great story.

                                we are all here as volunteers to help others learn how to build and maintain a MagicMirror system

                                I AM NOT here to create one for someone/anyone. at some point we all know nothing, and we learn, or fail.

                                best of luck
