Assistance with a notepad module

I am trying to build a magic mirror for a client that wants a family calendar for coordinating family events around each family members own personal schedule, the current weather and here’s the one that I cant find, a notepad module for leaving messages for the family. The first two I know there are already modules for(or need just a bit of tweaking to be) but does anyone have a notepad or notes module they are working on or have working? Any pointers about where to go for assistance would be wonderful. Thank you
