As seen in this photo, MMM-GoogleAssistant is detecting my GoogleAIY microphone, but every time I try and use it, it says “current configuration not Working”, and subdevices says 0/1. I was just wondering if this module doesn’t work with the Google AIY kit, and if I should get a usb mic. Please let me know if there is a fix for this. Thanks! -
I want to try to follow this thread too, because I’ve the same problem with GoogleAIY, while the mic works perfectly with the demo python Google AIY code.

do you have some new info ?
I’m continuing the investigation :
after a lot of try I found that the problem is maybe connected to pulseaudio and arecordif, very fast, inside a terminal connected in ssh to the mirror, inside htop I kill the third process of pulseaudio (the mic?) and I say Jarvis wake up word the MMM/GA hear me and it try correctly to answer me , but the pulseaudio process (correctly?) respawn and only two time (for lucky my credential are ok!) I can see the answer but after this this the mic is blocked again
info founded here
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1207680/stop-pulseaudio-from-restarting-under-gdm-systemd-other-answers-do-not-work
still searching for the correct solution 😞 -

@sdetweil Hi, I’ve taken the latest raspberri Pi OS
of the 11 january 2021 for a full restartand added the info for AIY HAT v1
that I found here
https://github.com/google/aiyprojects-raspbian/blob/aiyprojects/HACKING.md#install-aiy-software-on-an-existing-raspbian-systembut no luck, I’m always blocked

i also had problems with my micro in the beginning and removed pulseaudio from the pi and had no more problems
sudo apt-get autoremove --purge pulseaudio
