Is there a missing component in the MMM-NewsFeedTicker. I’ve installed it twice, one two different machines and it stopped MM in its tracks. Put in modules folder as required, copied config.js module block and put in config folder.
No settings changes, launched MM and got black screen. Pulled section of config.js back out, restarted, black screen.
Deleted MMM-NewsFeedTicker from modules folder. Everything back to normal.
Tried to launch dev tools but while window came up, there was an error message where normally would be css code, etc.

@ankonaskiff17 remember that we deleted old libraries in 2.16 , many modules didn’t document that they were needed, and SO, we end up with a crash

see the messages where u start MM, and look for ‘module not found’ and then npm install those in the MM folder …

@greedyvegan that says you have an instance running already, do

                pm2 status

                then

                pm2 stop all

                then

                pm2 start xx

xx is the number or name on the row

the module just says loading, I’m going to delete it and use the regular newsfeed instead, thanks.

by the way, is there a way that I can add an icon/image to the default newsfeed module?

                                        Hi there,

Sorry to jump in to this. I have the very same issue where the NFT module only shows “Loading” but never shows any feed. This was working perfectly fine for a long time before I ran an update (git pull) for the module today.

                                        A bit more info…

                                        • I am still on npm 6.14.11 and unable to upgrade due to the nodejs 10.24.0 compatibility issue.

Could it be because I am still on an old npm version?

                                        Many Thanks!

@KiaSohc well, you probably needed to do npm install in the module folder too after git pull
