      I know I’ve seen it on here but can’t find how to identify which version of various software is installed…
      node, npm, MagicMirror and others…

            @N6NG most commands support help

            xxx --help
            or
            xxx -h

            npm -v
            node -v

            some require uppercase
            python -V
            pm2 -V

            but help will help you figure it out

            magicmirror shows its version on startup,

                    Starting MagicMirror: v2.20.0-develop
            

            but u can get it from the package.json file too
            grep version package.json

            (base) sam@sams:~/MagicMirror$ grep version package.json
            	"version": "2.20.0-develop",
