SHARED CALENDAR
Error in the calendar module. No internet connectionIP address has stayed consistent static IP for the pi. Internet is connected. This happens multiple times per day for maybe 5-10 minutes approximately. Can anyone help with troubleshooting
-
@Nneuland this is a miserable problem to resolve.
it might be interference if over Wifi, or some system issue (like using pihole as a proxy on another machine to filter out averts ), or a hardware problem (I had a box with no wifi, in a place I needed wifi, so i used a usb plugin wifi dongle… failed at least once a week…
finally gave up and used a ethernet port to wifi box, and it has worked reliably since…
also had a weak spot in my wifi network, (also affected my cameras outside front of the house)… I changed my network to one of the mesh systems (google wifi in my case) so that I could mount one of the components just inside the front door, which eliminated the poor reception.
and then there are provider issue and also internet router outages that cause these, completely out of your control…
something like this happens about once a month for me -
@sdetweil wow! Yeah sounds like a nightmare. I was hoping the static ip and Wi-Fi dongle would help. I’ve been proven wrong:/
Thanks for letting me know Sam. Not sure an Ethernet connection is in the cards for me. Thanks for your time

I had the same problem with MMM-GoogleCalendar, but only after I added the module planetrise. I disabled planetrise and everything went back to working fine. After a few days, I reinstalled planetrise, and my calendar/lost internet issue returned. I am looking into ways of debugging now.
