I setup Magic Mirror on a PI4 that is used as a display panel on my desk. I have an mqtt server on the PI that operates various devices on my desk. The PI drives a 7" cheap screen that is on during the day. I use Magic Mirror to display various bits of information I want to monitor. Linkedin count for business, drive free space on cloud servers etc sent to MM via mqtt channel updates. The mqtt server will manage power up/power down of the desk.
