MMM-GoogleCalendar auth expiring after a week
-
I have MMM-GoogleCalendar running pulling several calendars and it works great…for a week.
As I have been running this for two weeks, I have had two invalid_grant situations.
Deleting token.json and rerunning the authentication get me back up and working. This is not normal practice, correct?
Anyone else experience this?
I do not have a google workgroup so my project is test mode (something like that) Am I missing an Google auth step?
-
@khrusher the module could refresh the token itself
there is an open issue
https://github.com/randomBrainstormer/MMM-GoogleCalendar/issues/65 -
thanks! I searched the archive with invalid_grant. I guess with the underscore I didnt match that item.
Appreciate the help.

I followed the steps in the attached issue. I will post update after some time

after 7 days…invalid_grant again.
delete token.json and rerun auth again required to get back up. Would all be easy if I had a keyboard already attached…but I dont. maybe I need a wireless keyboard

@khrusher It’s something on Google’s end, I’d bet. Gmail was also acting up for extensions - losing permissions within a week or so.
Google updating their security and breaking access.

@BKeyport no doubt, not knocking the module, it works great. I just followed along with Auth steps…kind of black0box for me.
I think a cheap wireless keyboard will be good any way.
