Default weather ignoring fade false ?
-
I have two instances of weather in my config. The first for current and using my pws provider. The second for forecast using weathergov. Both display data but the forecast seems to ignore the fade: false option. Here are the module entries from my config.js.
```{
module: “weather”,
position: “top_right”,
order: “1”,
header: “Our Weather Station”,
config: {
weatherProvider: “pws”,
stationId: “KTXFARME145”,
apiKey: “xxxxx”,
type: “current”
},
disabled: false,
label: “instance 1”,
hiddenOnStartup: false,
configDeepMerge: false,
animateIn: “none”,
animateOut: “none”,
index: 0
},
{
module: “weather”,
position: “top_right”,
order: “2”,
header: “Weather Forecast”,
config: {
weatherProvider: “weathergov”,
type: “forecast”,
lat: 33.173,
lon: -96.332
},
colored: true,
fade: false,
fadePoint: “1”,
maxEntries: “7”,
maxNumberOfDays: “7”,
disabled: false,
label: “instance 2”,
hiddenOnStartup: false,
configDeepMerge: false,
animateIn: “none”,
animateOut: “none”,
index: 1
}, -
@msimon360 you have things mis ordered
Inside config:{} are the properties TO the module
The rest are to MagicMirrormodule: “weather”, position: “top_right”, order: “1”, header: “Our Weather Station”, config: { weatherProvider: “pws”, stationId: “KTXFARME145”, apiKey: “xxxx”, type: “current” }, disabled: false, label: “instance 1”, hiddenOnStartup: false, configDeepMerge: false, animateIn: “none”, animateOut: “none”, index: 0 }, { module: “weather”, position: “top_right”, order: “2”, header: “Weather Forecast”, config: { weatherProvider: “weathergov”, type: “forecast”, lat: 33.173, lon: -96.332, colored: true, fade: false, fadePoint: “1”, maxEntries: “7”, maxNumberOfDays: “7”, }, disabled: false, label: “instance 2”, hiddenOnStartup: false, configDeepMerge: false, animateIn: “none”, animateOut: “none”, index: 1 }, -
Thanks, my mistake Doh!
@msimon360 glad you got it.
One other thing, forum related,
if you paste stuff with quotes, " or ’ , and its NOT in a code block, the content is considered text like in a word processor, and the quote marks are word processor quotes (slanted, curved) … this is WRONG for javascript… it needs TEXT quote marks. vertical " or '
(If someone copies the non-codeblock content, they will get the curved quotes, see my content in the post above… ) anyone trying to USE that will get errors…
SO, please use code block for any config info (it will also save your indentation). (and debug log info)
open the message editor,
paste the text, with a blank line above and below
select the text you just pasted, and click the code block button in the editor ribbon bar, </>
