Shared Google Calendar Access

So I have everything running smooth as a fine wine except calendar access. I have a shared calendar with my extended family that another family member manages. I have access to this calendar but when inserting the iCal address it never populates onto the Mirror. Thoughts?

If I remember correctly the calendar needs to be public and not solely shared with users.
