    • RE: Need help on monitor power

      Hi!
I have used a multiple outlet power strip that is hidden inside my mirror. Im also using a TP-link smartplug to control the power strip, so its automatically turns on my RP4 and monitor.

This works fantastic, as I am only using my monitor in the morning and in the evening after work. I have made a schedule to turn on/off the mirror for each day in the app.

I had the same issues with both modules. I just deleted both modules and reinstalled them, works perfectly now.

      @adrian-k

Started playing with the suggestion by @adrian-k.
However, errors galore in the dev console. Module seems to still work. Will play some more tomorrow.

@adrian-k here an example how it can look, if you store this HTML
in your modules-folder and display it in your mirror:

That looks really good, I will definitley look more into it and try to implement it into my mirror!
Thank you for all the help so far guys.

@adrian-k its not free. Says ‘Request a quote’

Yeah I saw that. However, I have sent them a request about the above and have been informed that they will get back to me tomorrow.

@adrian-k . did you see, you can implement a map via HTML in your own webside…create a local one at the folder “modules”…see here: https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/p/embed-map

Yeah I have seen that as well, but I imagine that it would be hard to hide the “frame” around the map instead of displaying just a map without any other details.

    • MMM-MarineTraffic??

      Hi!
Im working in the shipping industry and follows a lot of vessels sailing to and from some ports in the areas that Im working.

Is there anyone who can look into making a module for MarineTraffic? It would be cool if you could have a small map on the mirror, and once one vessel (or more) are sailing in the map you have set it to, you can see the vessels name and icon.

Please see picture for further explanation.

    • RE: Customized frames for MM

@sdetweil said in Customized frames for MM:

@adrian-k are there any wood working groups near you? that might make one for you? or metal working, or…

@bhepler said in Customized frames for MM:

You may have luck checking with the local school shop class and/or technical college. People learning how to use the tools can easily make the frame for a monitor. I’m not familiar with Norway’s educational system, but someone has to make furniture and they have to learn somewhere. Find them.

Thank for both of your suggestions! Local schools are closed until the end of summer atm, but if I cant find someone to help me out with it I might try there when they open.

I checked out with a local company that could make one for me, but the best price that I got was 430 USD, and thats way to much imo.
