Any interface you add just introduces more reflection surfaces, so from the side I expect you’d see some ghosted text. If the purpose is to protect the acrylic I think it’s probably overkill.

Reflective Film vs Two Way Mirror Glass
Hi everyone, I know there is a lot of questions posted about how reflective film compares to glass, so I wanted to share a comparison I made between the two.
I’m using two way mirror with a visible transmission of 11%, and comparing to Gila Reflective Film with a rating of 18%. They are mounted onto the same monitor with the same settings.

I also made a more in depth blog post comparing the two which rates these on Reflection, Transmission, and Simplicity. To give you the notes: the glass mirror looks better, but the film is so much easier to build its a great starting point.
