I’ve gotten it installed, and it appears when I search for cast units. But when I try to ‘cast’ from Youtube, it fails in connecting.
Has anybody gotten this to work?

as far as I know, nobody has tried it yet. but if the light source is directly on the mirror, that should not be a problem at all. A dazzling of light in other regions is excluded.If necessary, close the light gap with electrical tape from the back, then definitely nothing goes wrong :)

That sounds great, I’ll try and construct something then in alu rail, and close it off with electrical tape. I just found out that the cheap old monitor I found and have split to bits will make the mirror fog-free, as it get’s quite hot :-)

I want to place a screen of course, but it would great to also be able to integrate the light itself, without “breaking” the surface.

@str3pto Ok, that worked, I thought it just put it into the existing news item, as it wasn’t shown in the docs that it wanted a position :winking_face:

It would be great to have a MQTT client for integration, that could activate / deactivate modules, blank the screen, unblank the screen etc.

I’m on MM 2.8, and the news module has
broadcastNewsFeeds
broadcastNewsUpdates
enabled.
The module is configured like this:

But I don’t see any QR anywhere?

I used the YRThen, and it works nicely, I do think it would be nice to have a fade option, like in many of the other modules.

Ok, so I finally got the compliments in danish up and running properly, as well as danish news feeds, danish calendar and current danish weather, I’ll go and have a go with this one now.

There could be one problem. Your mic and speaker now have same id card 0, device 0 When my module try to close the mic(plughw:0,0) to output sound, the speaker(plughw:0,0) will be closed together at same time, so error will occur.
I heard there is a way to assign different id or alias to devices, but don’t know how to do.

Ok, so it doesn’t use the subdevices to distinguish them, I guess it’s google here I come :-)
