I made my Magic Mirror for my then girlfriend (now wife) for Christmas in 2015. It was (i believe) the first 4k magic mirror ever made, as 4k monitors were quite expensive at the time and the Raspberry Pi 2 was not capable of outputting 4k by default. I used Michael Teeuw's original software on that mirror and wrote several of the information modules myself as some of the more advanced stuff was not available at that time. Unfortunately the APIs from Yahoo Finance, DarkSkys, Weather Underground, and the radar images from NWS were all made unavailable, or no longer free to use. I'm working on re-coding my magic Mirror on a Raspberry Pi 4 using the new MM2 software, and am hoping to present the "working again" mirror to my wife for Christmas 2020.
