I would like to send a notification, when a sensor changes its value,
like the solar production value.
How to set the ‘stateVals’ array in that case ?

Example :

As of now I use a pir-sensor to switch the display on and off (hdmi).
But I cannot suppress the screensaver - does not look good .
Via my smarthome system ( fhem ) I could use a remote switch to power the display on and off.
I could do this sending a (URL)-command to the system.
How can I achieve that ?

Thanks, I will heatsinks a try and see if they can keep it cool enough.
Alexa-pi is part of the mirror, but just for asking questions, no further
integration.
Keeping the frame open would be nice, but then I need to have some safety
around the screen electronics. Need to have a look.

I have problems to user the mirror server - no connection possible.
Config seems quite standard :

When I run MagicMirror trough pm2, it runs fine, display is ok and all modules work.

MagicMirror will not quit, but it might be a good idea to check why this happened. Maybe no internet connection?

Am I missing something ?

I was not able to correct the listed version mismatch for the PIR-sensor,
but it seems to run fine under pm2.

How are your experiences with fans for the pi3 ?
Do I need to be worried about the noise ?
Currently my MagicMirror pi runs on about 60 degrees ( idle, no fan, no heatsink, no case , alexa-pi is probably already running )
As soon as I start MagicMirror, it goes up to 80 degrees and the thermal limiter kicks in.
How much I could gain from just using heatsinks ?
Later I am going to close the mirror enclosure and regardless how many ventilation holes I am going to drill, I am afraid, it might get quite warm inside.
As a comparison, I am running a small FHEM installation on a pi2, 40 degrees without sinks.

I can make the curl call work, adding a -k to it, to get around the certificate.
Can I do something similar in the module ?

What I am supposed to do know ?

There is nothing to do from the stuff, mentioned in ‘Next steps’.
As soon as you are able to use the demo, leaveit as it is.
You got your pubnub keys and edited the three files mentioned in the guide ?
If yes, remember, you have to start the assistant.py script manually.
If you do this from a terminal you will see if it runs successfully.
Here is an example :

If this looks good, that window shows you the activities.

We can try.

1. question : Did you get input and output running properly, i.e. can you record something and play it again ?
2. Did you get the Setup Google Assistant on Pi to work ?
