    • New weather provider: FMI Open Data for the built-in weather module

      Hi,

I have published a new weather provider for the built-in MagicMirror² weather module:

      MagicMirror² FMI Weather Provider
      https://github.com/i-xul/magicmirror-weather-fmi-provider

It uses open weather data from the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) and does not require an API key.

This is a weather provider, not a separate MMM weather module. It uses the built-in MagicMirror² weather module and follows the server-side provider API introduced in MagicMirror² v2.35.0.

      Currently supported:

      • current weather observations
      • daily forecasts using FMI HARMONIE data
      • FMI weather symbols mapped to MagicMirror Weather Icons
      • automatic day/night icon selection
      • sunrise and sunset calculation
      • daily min/max temperatures
      • daily precipitation totals
      • shared forecast requests between current and forecast instances
      • retry handling for temporary FMI request failures

      Tested with:

      • MagicMirror² 2.37.0
      • Raspberry Pi 4
      • Debian 11 arm64
      • Node.js 24.x

The provider is available as a standalone bundled fmi.js, so installation does not require npm dependencies on the MagicMirror system.

A screenshot, installation instructions and configuration examples are available in the README.

This is the initial v0.1.0 release. Feedback is welcome.
