July of 1944, W.O. Norton called a meeting at the Mount Dora Church Of Christ to determine the location of his dream, a new Christian school in Central Florida. Local congregations donated funds to purchase 70 acres of land in Mount Dora to begin building the Christian Home and Bible School.
