    • Slim power board for existing LCD driver

Took apart a VN247H monitor from ASUS, and to my surprise the LCD driver was actually thin enough to fit inside the picture frame I got. Nice. However, the 230v circuit board is NOT that thin, because it has a few large capacitors and a large heatsink.

I got about 18mm of clearance, so I need to be able to power the monitor within those limits. How do I do that? I was hoping externally powering it would be an option, but I see how that’s a problem, as I guess it takes a lot of voltage to power the backlight. Here is a picture of the 9 pins going into the LCD driver, and here is a picture of the LCD driver.

Should I just get a new LCD driver and power supply combo? If so, which one should I pick? The monitor is 1920x1080.
