@sdetweil yes you are right - i’ve removed all 50+ jpg files and started with couple of them and looks like its working i mean screen is not going blank even after longer time - as expected.
now i need to find which jpg file(s) is bad and causing this and put them back.

not sure if im reading correct log file though!

ref attached image for the log line - it is reading the networkshare/*.jpg and showing something ‘stream closed’ not sure if that is an issue or not
then i attached a keyboard and black screen does not wake by keystroke, however mouse pointer moves on black screen.
also ctrl+shift+i does nothing however ctrl+m is minimizing the MM window and showing desktop.
@sdetweil yes link is mounted correctly i can see the picture files in ‘ls /mnt/samba/myPicFrame/’ - infact MM is starting with those picture correctly but after a while (may be 10-15 min) screen is going blank.
so i guess mount of the network share is correct but something else blanking the screen after a while.

yes i’ve added the mount on boot in the fstab and i can browse the pictures in the /mnt/samba/myPicFrame. in fact MM is starting with those picture but going blank in a while (approx 10-15 min after start may be).

need your help and guidance please -
I’ve started using MM recently on pi 02w (dietpi) and it has been working good with module MMM-BackgroundSlideshow to cast slideshow from a network drive (mounted via samba) i.e.
“imagePaths: [‘/mnt/samba/myPicFrame/’],”
However after i upgraded to MM 2.30.0 yesterday slideshow is being stopped and a black screen with no other module data is being displayed.
But when i switch back to MMM-BackgroundSlideshow local pic directory i.e.
“imagePaths: [‘modules/MMM-BackgroundSlideshow/exampleImages/’],”
its working fine - only for the network mount drive screen is going blank.
Please suggest any remedy or anything im doing incorrect.
