  • RE: Brightness Requirements

    Actually i would say, it depends more on the lighttransmission factor of the mirrorglas than on the brightness of the mirror

  • RE: What Lighttransmission-Rate have your Mirrors?

    @yawns
    Depends on the definition of “see”
    I mean, it looks like a normal mirror to me but ofc you can see a little golden “glance”.
    In my opinion it’s acceptable quality…

  • RE: What Lighttransmission-Rate have your Mirrors?

    I got a whole mirror-test-set from glastroesch.
    1%, 12%, 20%, 30% & 40%.
    So i had the chance to do some test. The results:

    • 12% when you use the mirror in a dark room & don’t want to see the casing

    • 20% when you have a window or something like this next to the mirror

    • 1%, 30%, 40% are not usable (1% you can’t see anything, 30&40% you see the bleeding of the backlight)

    If you wanna know more, don’t hesitate to contact me :-)

  • RE: Trividar's MagicMirror

    @trividar Sounds fair to me.
    How did you ordered it? Can’t see a “real” web-store or a price list…

    If it’s allowed to ask…
    What did you pay for the mirror from glas trösch?
    Was not sure, what the shipping will cost…

  • RE: PIR-Sensor - put your mirror to sleep if not used

    Ok. When I’ve time, I will get a wireless transmitter.
    Would be embarrasing if it wouldnt work because I’ve never tried :anguished:

  • RE: PIR-Sensor - put your mirror to sleep if not used

    At first: Thank you very much.
    This module is great and works fine for me.
    When it’s allowed to make some suggestion…
    you maybe could add a possibility to switch wireless sockets.
    The effort for this shouldn’t be much, when you can use xkonni’s remote control.
    https://github.com/xkonni/raspberry-remote
    This would be a great possibity for those, who don’t feel comfortable to use a 230V relais… (I studied Mechatronics, so i don’t care :P)
