    • RE: Building the Frame

      @Mitchfarino

      Exactly same situation. Sorting out software side first but have a 40" tv I’m planning on using now and starting to think about the frame and mirror.

      Got two samples of mirror today to test. One lets a lot of light and colour thru but isn’t very mirror’ie. The other doesn’t let colour thru but still looks Kewl. And looks good enough for normal mirror.

      Frame I thought about metal. Had a google on making frames. Or buying a pre made aluminium tv frame which they make for displays etc.

      Thinking now I’m either gonna use flat bits of wood. Or cornice gyprock type moulding to make straight picture frame. Then mount the tv to that.

      So no glueing of glass/mirror.

      It will go.

      Picture/large painting frame
      Mirror
      Tv
      Some sort of bracket to hold tv
      Tv to wall mount

      I could be way off and I’m sure there’s a heap of ways to do this but this is my latest plan (changes by the hour lol)

      Love to hear what others are thinking.

      Also check out the my build thread. It’s great to see what others have done.

      @amanzimdwini

      He’s currently away. I think there’s a known issue he’s gonna fix when he gets home.

      I’ve also tried everything you have. Works in browser but not with module.

      Not too long to wait hopefully.

      I’ve seen this while testing for myself for a build…

      I wonder if its the screen resolution?

      Are the modules way bigger than they used to be?

      Mate. That’s just awesome.

      Few worry spots but sure I can make that happen.

      I made sure to order the same temp module so hopefully I shouldn’t have trouble.

      Thanks mate. Awesome.

      @Eunanibus

      Sorry. Wasn’t clear. I’m having this same issue with another module.

      Am I correct that your http module isn’t working correctly yet?

      Been trying to get it to work. Should solve a lot of my module needs. Home automation statuses and data from import.io.

      Can’t wait 😃

      Enjoy the holiday.

      Another thing I need to ask about or investigate is the emoji…

      As can be seen in screenshot emoji displays on my macbook thru safari but not when displayed straight from the Pi on my tv… hmmmm

      I know this means emoji is NOT supported but have no idea the work involved to implement it…

      No big deal tho… In process of removing emoji from my contacts…

    • RE: Its may a problem with node_helper

      @schnep202 said in Its may a problem with node_helper:

      while working on the comparison, i found a problem with the request.
      The problem is that the mirror only starts on request.

      In my config i have 3 modules using request: MMM_Traffic, MMM-Bitcoin and the default newsfeed module. if i run only run one of them, they work nicely! if there is more than one, only the first module in the config gets the data. the other only try to load the content.

      working with node.js is new for me, so i dont have any experience with it. i cant solve the problem by my one at this point. i hope anyone here has a solution.

      BTW: Comparison works nicely^^

      @KirAsh4

      Any hints much appreciated :blush:

      @schnep202

      Wow your awesome…

      How does the comparison work… Change of colour?

      I can’t wait… Also can’t wait to see if I can adapt it to show address balances…

      Something odd happening for sure… Fresh install and managed to install iCloud calendars dependencies etc no trouble…

      Hopefully someone else has some hints lol
