@sdetweil I stripped all the tabs, and replaced with spaces. In vi

:%s/\t/        /g

So, I think vim fixed the problem for me. OTOH, I think vi caused the problem in the first place by putting tabs in instead of spaces (or the way I have vi configured).

So, that’s one to be aware of I think!?

@sdetweil I tried disabling MMM-news, and weirdly now I’m getting both. Which is odd as I’d, you know, expect the news to be disabled.

I did notice I’ve got a bunch of tabs in the config file instead of spaces, not sure how that affects things.

With regards to those log entries, it says 1 Camera(s) and 0 Device(s) when it works (or when it doesn’t work), so I guess devices are something else.

I put the news back in again at the end this time (that’s displaying fine), and went to the front door and nothing pops up now. So, now the news is working, but the Ring is not, which kinda blows my theory about the problem being the last one in the config. Here’s the log…

As an aside, it seems the MMM-News module puts my private API key into the logs which is probably not great from a security perspective!?

Hi,

I’m struggling to get my MMM-News to display, when it’s at the end of the config. I was having the same problem with MMM-Ring for my doorbell, so I moved that to the top and it’s working again. Is it possible I’ve got too much stuff crammed onto the screen? Having said that, MMM-Ring is just supposed to pop up and then disappear after a couple of minutes. Perhaps I’ve got a stray comma in my YAML or something?? Any suggestions?
