Hi, is someone trying to make this module? If’ve looked further into it, and tried to rewrite the default RSS feed module to a ticker, however this level of coding is too advanced for me. Can html marquee be used for this?

RE: Where to buy good two way mirrors ?
@dajohn in bright rooms it works great. I had it hanging in a darker place, So the refection was not much. So took it off after a while.
Also as it is plexiglass, if you order a large mirror the reflection might distort a bit. Mine was about 30x40 cm which was ok. -
RE: raspberry freezes
@Wilco89 Raspberry Pi 3, 5V 2.5A Should be more than sufficient. It doesn’t show the square with colors, what normally would show when power is to low.

RE: raspberry freezes
So I tested it, and it also freezes with power from a separate outlet… I’m now running the Pi without the magicmirror program running to see if that is the problem.

RE: raspberry freezes
@KirAsh4
Let me try again: linkso this is connected directly to my main power (220V) with an adapter which supplies 5V and 2.5A.
It could be that starting the monitor draws power away for short moment. However this is not happening every time, only after a day or so.
know of a solution how to prevent this?

raspberry freezes
Hi,
I have my raspberry connected with the same power supply as my screen with a modified cable like this. One end I modified to a normal power outlet, so I can connect my raspberry adapter to it. I connected the other outlet to the screen. I also put a pir motion sensor in between the cable that connects to the monitor. So my monitor is turned off after certain time, but raspberry stays always on.
Now after a day or so, my raspberry freezes right after the monitor is started. My best guess is that this is through a voltage peak or something. but I do not know for sure what causes the crash. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

RE: Where to buy good two way mirrors ?
@Mark I do think that a real glass mirror is better than the plexiglas. But that costs more, and for me this is now only a test and see where the project goes. If I am satisfied with the way MM is working and still find it usefull/fun, I might consider buying a glass mirror and building a nicer frame…

@Mark me too ;) I picked it up there since I also live nearby. I guess they have a big sheet of it now, so hopefully yours won’t take that long.

RE: Where to buy good two way mirrors ?
@jordi2830 @Mark Finaly received my mirror last friday. Took a long time. Mirror looked good before inserting it in the frame. It is now hanging next to my front door, but it is to dark in the hall, so there is not a real mirror effect, and can look through the mirror… I ordered the 2 way mirror, or confrontation mirror. I am tinking about taping the sides where there is no screen, to see if that improves the effect.
