Can i have the PIR sensor behind the mirror glass?
-
I’m planning to have a Magic Mirror in my new bathroom, and have a big 120x75 cm mirror flush with the wall tiles. Can I have a PIR sensor behind the mirror looking through it? Will that work?
I haven’t decided yet, but think i might go for a ~46" TV. Is it usually easy to find documentation so that i can connect the sensor in between the backlight signal cable?
Another option, can i have a regular PIR sensor in the corner/roof of the room, and have it control both a 230V relay for the lights as well as a 3-20V relay for the TV?

This was covered in another question but the PIR sensor will not work behind the mirror it’s a light thing… You can use an NOIR camera behind the mirror that would work.

I’m new to this but how do i configure the NoIR camera to turn on the mirror when motion is detected?
