      Hi folks,
Here is my bedroom MagicMirror. My wife wanted me to use google calendar and there is a much better chance of me observing it if it is right in front of my face - so this project commenced. I picked up a mirror off facebook marketplace for $10 that was a fairly close match to our bedroom furniture. From there, I had the glass replaced with 2-way glass. That was probably the most expensive piece of the project but still reasonable. I built a wood frame for behind the mirror and set the monitor and pi in it. Some stain and picture hanging wire and the project was complete.

      Modules used:
      MMM-AirNow
      MMM-OpenWeatherForecast
MMM-PIR-Sensor-Lite - This is for a sensor which will wake the mirror up when someone is nearby

That’s pretty nice! I like the classic look.

I’m a pretty heavy user of Google Calendars (16 different calendars between me, the wife, and the kids) and I definitely recommend MMM-CalendarExt3.

Thank you! I definitely wanted it to look like it matched everything with the rest of our bedroom set (I think our set is from the 1940’s?). Finding a $10 mirror on marketplace was great! I didn’t feel too bad about scrapping the glass it had for the two-way glass I was putting in. I decided to splurge and get it professionally fitted and installed in the mirror by a glass place. I know plexiglass is a cheaper option but as this was going in our bedroom… it had to be done nicely. I think the glass was below $200 for it cut & installed. Worth every penny. I have taken a look at the full calendar display. I’ll have to try this module out to see how it looks - my concern is that it will get a little small and hard to read but I won’t know unless I try! Thank you for the suggestion.

What model of PIR have you implemented?

              Awesome job !!

Is your mirror touch capacitive, or do you do all your updating from your phone/pc etc ?
