Mounting the Mirror
-
For my project everything is nearly done, but I would like to hang it on the wall. How did everyone else manage to do that? I might be many things, but I don’t think a craftsman is one of 'em.

The back of my frame has some sort of a brace on the top:
I wanted to screw two hooks into the wall (drywall) and hang the brace into the hooks. But I didn’t find hooks or screws for drywalls that stand out enough to grab the brace safely enough. What I came up with was a mount made from two pieces of the same slat as the brace which can now be placed into it and hangs firmly on the wall.

I used something similar to this:

I’ve used this:
http://www.helbig.be/images/pages/Blog/Producten/01.JPGmount one on your mirror, one on the wall. It divides the weight evenly over every anchor point and you can use more than two screws to hang your mirror on. (can be usefull if your mirror is heavy and the material of your wall can’t support too much weight)
