Does the D-Link have an username and password associated with it?
Most do, so that may be your hang up.
May be a way to put them in the config of the module…

@justjim1220 yes it does and that is what it hanging it up…
If I use http://user:pass@IPADDRESS:PORT_NUMBER/mjpeg.cgi I get that error in red letters on the mirror.
If I use http://IPADDRESS:PORT_NUMBER/mjpeg.cgi?user=[USERNAME]&password=[PASSWORD] I get a 401: authorization required error in the console -
Solved for the D-Link 932L removing user authentication in D-Link setup
The D-Link 5030L still throws the error but I think it uses a different video compression.

@cyberphox kind of what I was getting at…that user authentication isn’t terribly necessary…:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Still having weird issues…the 932L camera iFrame shows right away but seems to disappear after a bit…the 5030L camera throws the error but if you start with nom start dev and use the user agent switcher to change to Firefox and then hit ctrl-f5 to refresh then that window works…for a bit…but it eventually disappears too…I have no idea how to refresh the browser unless the dev console is running…
Having any IP cam feeds running in this Ubuntu install may be a pipe dream for me
