Hello! So I got a raspberry pi 4 (with 4 gb RAM) and i was wondering if it was possible to power the raspberry pi with a 12 W or 18W apple power supply. I have the USB cords for both, as well as all the other adapters and Rasbian downloaded on an SD card inside the Pi itself. I would prefer to not buy any more accessories for it so I’m trying to reuse everything I can. The screen is older so it uses VGA and I don’t know if that affects anything.

TL;DR Can I use a 12W apple charger to power my RasPi 4?

Kinda off topic here, but, the Raspbi-4 runs at 3Amps, or using 5 volts, around 12 watts.

Make your own decision from there. I personally would get a recommended power block, but, that’s just me.

is that new math!? 3 * 5 = 15 watts… watts is amps times volts

I bought an 8 amp ps for my pi 4… 40 watts
