@laschalkh said in trouble with MMM-GoogleTrafficTimes:

          pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror $

          pgrep Xorg
          which chromium-browser

          are both empty

which means you don’t have the graphical desktop running., looks like you are in cli mode

u MUST have the desktop to run MM…, browser requires graphics.

reflash the sd card with the full desktop image of buster

ok, I’ll try it, but I may need to grab another pi. Not sure the zero can handle the full version

cool, I just want a couple modules so hopefully won’t b a problem. It’s flashing now so I’ll reach out after it’s running and installed

                  Hi Sam,

ok, got it all running and it is working. Your script works very well. I tried adding MMM-GoogleMapsTraffic as well and that seems to kill the mirror. It says it can’t find the config file. As long as I leave that out, it’s working.

yea, that’s the one I’m trying. I just tried that module only and it’s not working. I ran the install again and it is warning about grunt styles not being installed. Seems like it’s missing parts.

                        you did the git clone
                        cd
                        and then npm install

                        right?

so, whats your config section look like… no one has had trouble installing it, it was a run problem I fixed…
