Installing Magic Mirror 2 Using An SD Card With A Different IMAGE
-
Hello,
I have been fascinated by all of the work done in this community. Originally I had used Dylan Pierce’s method to making a magic mirror as explained in his blog and forum: http://blog.dylanjpierce.com/raspberrypi/magicmirror/tutorial/2015/12/27/build-a-magic-mirror.html

However, the forum and the site that allowed me to control widgets on my mirror recently went down. The forum came back up, but my mirror was completely disconnected. I am now trying to install MagicMirror2 on my raspberry pi, but I am not sure if it will work with the image I already put on the SD card since it was configured to autostart in Chromium. Is there any way I can get a Magic Mirror running with what I already have, or should I wipe the SD card and start fresh?
Thank you for all of the help! -
I would say, just do a fresh start to be save!

Great! What operating system should I install on the raspberry pi? Could anyone give me a step by step tutorial of what to do?

Just follow the tutorial and you’ll be fine
