I can't get the config to open
-
I have the program installed, I went through thee complete setup guide, but now I don’t know how to open the config to change the weather, location, etc. I have already changed the file in the config folder to config.js.
-
I have had the same problem. Was it necessary to change the file in the config folder to config.js? I never saw that in the tutorial. That might be exactly what I have been missing.

Try going here: https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror/wiki#default-modules
There is a complete guide to what to do. Click on one of the default modules to learn how to set it up. I am new to all of this, but I hope this helps. -
I might have solved the issue. I’m supposed to change the script in the folder not from the terminal aren’t I?
-
That must have been it. I’ll take that into consideration.

I am also very new to this, but it isn’t that hard once you’ve stay up till 1:00 3 or 4 times. Everything I needed to know was here: https://forum.magicmirror.builders/topic/236/complete-setup-tutorial/6 @KirAsh4
The section you probably need is under “Installing MirrorMirror2” at the end.
I was able to do everything from the forum until I needed to change the weather settings. For that, I used file manager. It isn’t as hard as it may seem (even though to a newbie like me all of this stuff seems hard). After a long time just playing around with it I finally got the MagicMirror2 app set up with autostart, which has a tutorial at: https://github.com/MichMich/MagicMirror/wiki/Auto-Starting-MagicMirror
I hope this helps. I know how it feels to have no clue of what to do.
