      Re: MMM-Soccer - Soccer Standings

      Hi @ all,

      i just start using the MMM-soccer Module after a complete MM new install one day ago.

      Everything looks good, but i miss the club - logos. i become at this point a symbol that symbolizes a missing icon.

      {
          module: 'MMM-soccer',
          position: 'bottom_left',
          config: {
              api_key: 'hidden api key',
              show: 'GERMANY',
              logos: true,
              colored: false,
              max_teams: 5
          }
      },

      Any idee what the reason for this and how i get this issue fixed?

      THX in advance

      Tino

        Have you run the downloader that is mentioned in the modules readme?

        Logos

        As the v2 api doesn't provide logos anymore, I developed a club logo downloader. It supports the five major leagues as above named. To run the downloader you need to execute the following steps.

            Go to the module directory cd ~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-soccer.
            Execute node scripts/downloader COUNTRYNAME.
            Run this command for all the leagues you want to display on the mirror.
            Don't forget to activate the display of the logos in the config.

        If there isn't every club logo, you can also place them manually in the public directory of the module, the logos need to be in svg format and the name of the file has to match the displayed name.

          Execute node scripts/downloader COUNTRYNAME

          Hi broberg,

          thx for your fast reply. yes, i’ve tried it serveral times to execute your script to get the logos.

          pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-soccer $ node scripts/downloader GERMANY
          pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-soccer $

          same result.

          i also placed some manually downloaded logos in SVG format into the public folder

          pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-soccer/public $ ls
          25px-1.FC_Union_Berlin_1966-_1990.gif ‘Hertha BSC.svg’
          25px-Logo_TSG_Hoffenheim.svg.png Logo_FC_Augsburg.svg.png
          25px-SC_Paderborn_07_Logo.svg.png Logo_TSG_Hoffenheim.svg.png
          ‘BV Borussia 09 Dortmund.svg’ SC_Freiburg.svg
          FCSchalke04.svg

          same result.

          To activate the logos i use the “logos: true,” . This should be correct , or?

                the code does NOT look in the public folder, from the njk file

                /MMM-soccer/{{standing[index].team.name}}.svg
                or
                /MMM-soccer/{{entry.team.name}}.svg

                might want to edit the njk, and change those to
                /MMM-soccer/public/

                also, many of your files are
                25px-Logo_TSG_Hoffenheim.svg.png < ---- .png

                this is svg
                FCSchalke04.svg

                but I don’t think ‘FCSchalke04’ is the team name

                  ok, i have now added the /public to the path like this src=“/MMM-soccer/public/{{standing[index].team.name}}.svg”

                  The install discription says : “the logos need to be in svg format and the name of the file has to match the displayed name.”
                  I my case f.e. now FC Schalke 04.svg . The displayed name is “FC Schalke 04”

                  pi@raspberrypi:~/MagicMirror/modules/MMM-soccer/public $ ls
                  ‘BV Borussia 09 Dortmund.svg’ ‘SC Freiburg.svg’
                  ‘FC Schalke 04.svg’ SC_Paderborn_07_Logo.svg
                  ‘Hertha BSC.svg’

                  same result …strange

                    @tino if you open the developers window, ctrl-shift-i, and select the tab labeled console, and scroll up,
                    maybe put ‘soccer’ (no quotes) in the filter field to just see messages from one module, you should see the errors from loading some url…

                      You made my day!!

                      THX for your tip with the Debug console.

                      System could not find the path to the public folder.
                      false: src=“/MMM-soccer/public/{{standing[index].team.name}}.svg”
                      right: src=“/modules/MMM-soccer/public/{{standing[index].team.name}}.svg”

                      now it works perfect …thumbs up
