After all that you’ve given to the community (and the amount of code I’ve shamelessly stolen from your modules) the least I can do is help out. Please let me handle MMM-SelfieShot and MMM-WeatherBackground for you.

            Thank You for your modules,

I’d like to maintain the MMM-CalendarExt Modules, I’ve used them very much, and they’re the best Calendar modules.

            Best Wishes

I as well lack the skills to take over any of your projects but I’m actively using five of them.

Wish you all the best for your future.

@Sean I use your MMM-Touch module and your help was always gratefully received. Thanks for contributing so much. I wish I could take over the Touch module but I’m nowhere near your level of skill. I wish you all the best and hopefully will see you back here.

As I mentioned already I fully understand the retreat of Sean and wish him only the best. But I’m a little concerned about the future of some of his modules. Because I don’t know what will happen to modules that won’t get a new owner.

Can anybody with more knowledge please shed some light on the situation?

If nobody will take over the module, I’ll keep it still publicly, but no guarantee of bug fixing or updating, adding feature. And I might not answer/solve the issue.

@lxne While I can’t take any modules at this time, I’m sure that plenty of people will be willing to support the modules, as they’re all really popular… I for one, have gotten to be really good at CalExt2, and I’m willing to support it as much as I can.

@lxne as @Sean mentioned, he would keep them public, but over time they will become less and less useful as the world around them changes. we call this abandoned. many modules for MM are like that today… not updated in 2 or more years.

Good news, if they remain public, someone who is interested 6 months from now could fork the repo and become the new developer. As this is all volunteer, peoples energy and time availability ebb and flow.

                                        Hi
First and foremost : take care of your health .
Thank you for all your modules and, even more for your fantastic availability to support them.
The foundafions were good but you made this a building more then others.
I had the priviledge to interact with you in the passed and i can say that it is rare to find this kind of support in professional sw.
I wish i could take on some of gour coding but i think that i woukd probably destroy rather then fix :-)

So. Thank you again and bye.
                                        Take care

Thank you for all you have done! I am a newbie to MagicMirror (two months since I started playing with it and figuring it out) and I have installed several of your modules. I’m learning so much about node.js and javascript by tweaking their configurations and I’m impressed. I just found this note from you saying you were going to move on to new things as life has been changing so much for you.
I found MM and your modules because I was creating change in my life. Good LUCK and may you find interesting challenges and satisfaction whatever you end up doing.

                                          And… Thank you!

p.s. I hope you do lurk from time to time and check in on us. You will be missed for sure.
