@Sean – many people have enjoyed your hard work. THANK YOU. You should be proud of what you’ve accomplished in giving so much to this community. I hope you find some peace and rest in this very difficult time in your life. Very best wishes and again, thanks!
-
@Sean Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge and talent! Good luck! Stay safe and healthy!
-
@sean First of all my condolences to your family. I just want to thank you for helping me setup google photos module. It’s been working great. Good luck and hopefully we will see you back here.

Regrettably, I lack the skills to take over any of your projects but I felt I needed to join this thread to express my gratitude. Thank you for the work you have done! I wish you good luck for your future endeavors, and, above everything else, abundant health! -
@Sean I use your MMM-Touch module and your help was always gratefully received. Thanks for contributing so much. I wish I could take over the Touch module but I’m nowhere near your level of skill. I wish you all the best and hopefully will see you back here.

As I mentioned already I fully understand the retreat of Sean and wish him only the best. But I’m a little concerned about the future of some of his modules. Because I don’t know what will happen to modules that won’t get a new owner.
Can anybody with more knowledge please shed some light on the situation?

@lxne
If nobody will take over the module, I’ll keep it still publicly, but no guarantee of bug fixing or updating, adding feature. And I might not answer/solve the issue. -
@lxne While I can’t take any modules at this time, I’m sure that plenty of people will be willing to support the modules, as they’re all really popular… I for one, have gotten to be really good at CalExt2, and I’m willing to support it as much as I can.
-
@lxne as @Sean mentioned, he would keep them public, but over time they will become less and less useful as the world around them changes. we call this abandoned. many modules for MM are like that today… not updated in 2 or more years.
Good news, if they remain public, someone who is interested 6 months from now could fork the repo and become the new developer. As this is all volunteer, peoples energy and time availability ebb and flow.

Hi
First and foremost : take care of your health .
Thank you for all your modules and, even more for your fantastic availability to support them.
The foundafions were good but you made this a building more then others.
I had the priviledge to interact with you in the passed and i can say that it is rare to find this kind of support in professional sw.
I wish i could take on some of gour coding but i think that i woukd probably destroy rather then fix :-)So. Thank you again and bye.
Take care
