      After making changes to the config file, like 12hr time format, adding modules etc. I restart MM and it’s as if no changes were made. It just displays the sample config. When I reopen the config file then changes are still there. I’ve even tried rebooting the whole pi with no luck. MM is running in a docker on a pi3.

        @Perkinje
        Did you rename the file to config.js?

          yes, the filename is config.js. It shows the default display config without my changes.

            @Perkinje do you have something at boot that copies config.js.sample to config.js? perhaps?

              @sdetweil nope, and when I reopen the config.js file my changes are still there.

                @Perkinje so, let’s check this again

                the file used for running is

                ~/MagicMirror/config/config.js

                  @sdetweil Yes, it is. I don’t see how this is possible. I’ve checked the docker setup to confirm the location of the config/config.js and it is showing the file I’ve modified.

                      I’ve given up docker. Runs fine with standard install. I’ll try docker with my next MM.
