      Hey all :)

I am new to MM, but giving it a shot.

My mum is suffering… forgetting what day it is, when appointments (hair and nails etc) and worried she will miss someones birthday etc. This is really driving her to tears making her feel like a burden
Shes always asking… what time is my appointment etc sadly the question could be asked upwards of 5 times in 10 minutes hour simply cause it did not click (other days just once or twice)
Add dad being near deaf… domestics everywhere. :)

And she wants to see photos of all of us but cant use the iphone other than answering calls.
For her its difficult to remember how to open a text and there’s not a chance of saving photos to her phone.

My dream… and if anyone can provide a noob with thoughts and direction etc (and i am not soo crash hot with coding… but I have a lot of persistence)

I want anyone who is infront of the MM to be able to upload photos from their phone directly.
It would be great if they could simply scan a QR and select the photos and yahh in the mirror they go.
I’m adding a large SSD and MMM-ImagesPhotos is doing a great job of randomising them.

I did consider email like (https://github.com/fapeg/eink_picture_frame) but not really the path i want to go.

      Input appreciated :)

A route you could go is to add MMM-RemoteCompliments. Though I am having an issue with the config.js, it seems like something you could use. Wishing you all the best while caring for your mum.

i think i might have an idea here. there are some tools that do this already, just need a MM module to wrapper the parts.

one ‘downside’, the phone user scans a qr, gets a web page, select file(s), click send.
when done, gets ‘you can close page now’

          i think this is tollerable…

file names are uploaded w filedate.time.jpg cause the web app cant see the real file names (hacker security)
but u aren’t going to display any names anyhow

i am sitting in a hospital, recovering from covid. i have a long path to go, this seems like something I can contribute to to improve your moms life

qr on the MM page, where u want (position), css to make it whatever size (I think)
config where to put the uploaded images, can be any path on the system, alto u may have to create linked folder (ls -s command)
          1-many files at once

              @sdetweil

G’day Sdetweil, sorry for the long lag.
I put this project aside as it upset mum because she didn’t want to know that she was not doing as well etc etc. So the mirror have been living under my bed since.

But its got to that point, Dad and I said lets just put it in an if she does not use it that’s okay or even if she just looks at it every now and then yahh a win.

So i’m going to have a look at your work and thank you so much for doing what you have done :)

@shannons no problem… my pleasure… it gave me something constructive to do while in hospital last year…
and I added it to my mirror for family to add pics for me… so, win win…
